Code of Conduct

ScanAgile Code of Conduct

All members, attendees, organisers, speakers, sponsors and volunteers involved in Agile Finland are required to agree with the following this code of conduct. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a  respectful, safe and inclusive environment for everybody.

The Quick Version

Be kind to others, behave professionally, respect diversity and behave using inclusion.

The Longer Version

Enforcement

Event organisers are responsible for ensuring that the Code of Conduct is followed and enforced. Event organizers may remove people who are violating the Code of Conduct from the event.

According to Agile Finland’s enforcement policy participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. Also any contracted partner (including speakers) behaving against this code of conduct has no right to claim any expenses or fees.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the event organizers immediately at organizers@scan-agile.org.

We expect all participants to follow these rules at all events.

Tips & Things to Do in Helsinki in March

March in Helsinki blends the magic of late winter with the first hints of spring. Here are some highlights for your stay:

  • Relax like a Finn: Try a traditional sauna at Löyly (design sauna by the sea) or Allas Sea Pool, where you can dip into heated pools—or take a refreshing plunge into the Baltic Sea.

  • Enjoy the last snow: Weather permitting, locals head to parks for sledding or skiing. Helsinki Central Park even has maintained cross-country skiing tracks.

  • Dive into Finnish art, design & architecture: Explore the Design Museum, the Ateneum Art Museum, and Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art—then step outside to admire Helsinki’s mix of Jugendstil, modernist, and contemporary Nordic architecture.

  • Taste Nordic flavors: Try traditional dishes like salmon soup, Karelian pies, or reindeer—many restaurants in Helsinki bring a modern twist to local food. For something sweet, grab a cinnamon bun (“korvapuusti”) at a cozy café.

  • Walk & explore: Stroll around the Design District or along the seaside paths—March light is crisp and perfect for photography.

Fun Facts About Helsinki & Finland

  • 🦄 Moomins are everywhere – Finland’s most famous fictional family. You can find Moomin cafés, mugs, and merch across Helsinki.

  • ❄️ Winter superheroes – Finns actually pay to jump into freezing water after a sauna. And they claim it’s “good for circulation.” Try it… if you dare.

  • Coffee nation – The average Finn drinks around 4 cups of coffee a day. At ScanAgile, you’ll fit right in when you reach for your third refill before lunch.

  • 🌲 City of nature – Half of Helsinki is green areas or water. It’s one of the only capitals in the world where you can spot a moose just outside the city.

  • 🎶 Heavy metal paradise – Finland has more heavy metal bands per capita than anywhere else in the world. Who says saunas and metal don’t mix?

  • 🏛️ Architecture lovers’ dream – From Alvar Aalto’s functionalism to bold new wooden buildings, Helsinki blends tradition with modern Nordic design in a way few cities can.
